If there is anyone out there who does follow this, you’ve learned by now that I suck at blogging. I’ll blog for a few days and then stop for months. Though in all fairness, 2009 was a crappy year and blogging was on the bottom of my list. I was sick for most of the year, and it took until September to get a proper diagnosis (Gall Bladder disease). The gall bladder was promptly removed, but I’m still dealing with my body getting used to the lack of a gall bladder. My beloved kitty cat, who “helped” me crochet my gnawing on yarn while I worked or by unrolling balls of yarn, developed bladder cancer and I had to send him to the rainbow bridge.
I did crochet a bit here and there throughout all this (and more that happened). I made a blanket for my boyfriend’s cousin’s wedding shower. I even hand embroidered on a small piece of fabric and sewed it to the blanket. I made a bear year hat for my nephew. I made a hat with kitty ears for my cousin that I didnt have a pattern for. I will try to post some pictures this weekend.
I also decided last month, that it was time for me to start knitting. I always hated knitting because everytime someone tried to teach me, I couldnt do it. So for Christmas, I got some needles and books and sat down and taught myself. I don’t hold my needles the right way, but holding the needles was why I couldn’t do it. I guess you could say I left hand knit, but its not really the continental method. Its my method, and it works. Anyway, I’m working on a scarf and hopefully will start to purl in a week or so.
